Selected quotations from the nominators:

Monsignor DeBlanc says, "Nothing is too small to warrant professional expertise." "God is in the details." "Only the wealthy can afford to build cheaply." - quotes submitted by Gable Zembower..AIA

"Monsignor DeBlanc inspired us to the 'commission of our life.' In his own way. he would challenge us again and again toward greater quality and excellence in the details, materials. massing and features. Upon completion, the Our Lady Queen of Heaven community named the facility after Monsignor DeBlanc." Joe Champeaux. FA1A

"Msgr. DeBlanc. our client on the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church and Cemetery. is in our opinion, an example of an ideal client. sensitive, responsive. creative and contributing greatly to our understanding of his needs, especially as to how the church should function in an imaginative way."

Arthur Q. Davis, FAIA. NCARB

"Monsignor's attention to detail always extended well beyond the physical aspects of the church, cemetery. Life Center. or other project he was orchestrating. His unique insight would lead Queen of Heaven Parish to be the first to develop programs. which would lead to building projects to house these newly created gems. Long before programming for the Life Center or numerous projects at Queen of Heaven School. he would spend hours helping and guiding parish leaders to reach out to create something unique to his parish. his diocese, and often to the South Louisiana region itself."

Keith A. Le June. AIA
