Master's Award Sword Presentation
Accomplishments  

 

1995-96.   Faithful Navigator Wylace Vincent, Jr. of Kinder Council 2893 began his rein of the assembly for the 1995-96 Fraternal Year as the 50th Sir Knight to become the chief executive officer of Msgr. Cramers Assembly.  The assembly was very active with it's many fine programs and was rewarded by receiving recognition awards from the Louisiana District and Bienville Province (Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Tennessee) The assembly won the "Civic Award"; Louisiana District "Master's Award" and "Patriotic Award"; Bienville Province "Outstanding Patriotic Program”; “To Be A Patriot Award"(Veterans Remembered) presented by Vice Supreme Master Marvin L. Lott;  and the "Bishop Stanley Ott Memorial Award for Excellence". This is the first time Msgr. Cramers Assembly has won the Bishop Ott Award.

The Family of our First Faithful Navigator HARRY FLOETER (1207) ..1945-46 had his Sword  Silver Plated and donated it to Msgr. Cramers Assembly.  Faithful Navigator Wylace Vincent, Jr.  accepted the sword on behalf of the assembly.  The sword is to be used by each Presiding Faithful Navigator during his term of office during Honor Guards or Color Guards.

Past Faithful Navigator Fred Fluitt presented the sword to Newly installed Faithful Navigator Wylace Vincent in June 1995.

 

The assembly inaugurated a new award during 1995:The Anthony J. "Tony" Abate Memorial Award Marvin Ducote, Manager of Albertson's received the award presented to him by Mrs. Felicia Abate and Sir Knight Stanley Vaughn.

Faithful Navigator Wylace Vincent, Jr. was honored by being selected to be Grand Marshall for the Ceremonial of Investiture Knight Commander of the Fleur De Lis that was held in the Cathedral of Saint Andrew, Little Rock, Arkansas.

Monsignor James M. Gaddy was selected Clergyman of the Year and Sir Knight Stanley Vaughn was selected Sir Knight of the Year.

Father Wayne LeBleu was presented the Msgr. Cramers Assembly of the Fourth Degree Memorial Chalice for 1995-96 on the anniversary of his becoming a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus.

·       Altar Servers Recognition Day -  Our Lady Queen of Heaven Church, Lake Charles, La.

·       (Jointly sponsored with the Serra Club of Lake Charles over 250 Altar Servers were honored)

·       Sir Knights and Ladies attended The Feast of St. Peter Claver Celebration Immaculate Heart of Mary, Lake Charles, La.  (Patron Saint of the Diocese of Lake Charles)

·       POW / MIA Recognition Day in DeQuincy, La.

·       Blessing of the Memorial Tomb and the Holy Family Education Center - St. Joseph's, DeRidder

·       Louisiana District Promotional Meeting, Crowley, La

·       Blessing and Dedication of Katherine Drexel Conference Center and Tabor Retreat House at Saint Charles Center  (Archbishop Agostino Cacciavillan,  Apostolic Pro-Nuncio to the United States and Archbishop Francis Schulte, Archbishop of New Orleans, joined Bishop Jude Speyrer and many other bishops along with diocesan clergy, religious and laity)

·       High School Senior Patriotic Awards -(Barbe, DeQuincy, Elton, Grand Lake, Iowa, Kinder, Lacassine, LaGrange, Lake Charles Boston, Saint Louis, Sam Houston, Westlake)

·       Public Officials Banquet  - (Patriotic Contest Winner, Diocese Citizen of the Year Award, Assembly Citizen of the Year Award, Family of the Year Award and Public Official of the  Year Award) , Lake Charles, La.

·       Mother's Day Memorial Mass, Consolata Cemetery, Lake Charles La

·       Msgr. Cramers Assembly's Color Guard Posted the Colors for the 23rd Biennial Convention, Opening Sesseon & Banquet , Lafayette, La.

·       Knights of Saint Gregory Memorial Mass - Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Lake Charles, La.

·       Quarterly Communions (Our Lady Queen of Heaven,  Our Lady of LaSallette,  St. Theodore, St. Raphael and St. Philip Neri Churches)

·       Wake Services for Ten (10) Deceased Sir Knights during the Fraternal Year.
